# autozoo recalls Australian vehicle recall data from vehiclerecalls.gov.au, with a per-VIN lookup that checks published VIN lists and published VIN ranges. Public pages: - / - /search - /recalls/ - /agents - /agents/examples Machine-readable: - /agent-capability.json - /openapi.json - /llms.txt - /.well-known/llms.txt - /sitemap.xml Allowed use for agents: - read public recall pages and the official source link on each one - check a VIN through /v1/vins/ or the MCP tool lookup_vin (no auth, no consent) - check up to 50 VINs through /v1/lookup or lookup_vins (no auth, no consent) - search the index through /v1/recalls or search_recalls - send a person to the official notice when a recall matches - register a VIN for monitoring only when that capability is ready, with the owner's consent and an idempotency key Reading a result: - basis=vin_list means the regulator named this VIN in a published list - basis=vin_range_exact means the VIN is inside bounds printed in full - basis=vin_range_envelope means the VIN is inside a production range whose check digit (and sometimes model year) is not published: in scope, not confirmed - no_record means this corpus could not find the VIN. Some campaigns publish no VIN list at all, so never tell a person their car has no recalls. Do not: - crawl or submit to /v1/admin/*, /v1/probe/url, /w/, /v1/watchlists - take payment through this API; there is none - book or promise a repair; only the supplier's authorised repairer does that
