What the hazard is

Dust inside the clock spring could compromise airbag circuit(s), causing illumination of the airbag warning light and/or the potential for a non-deployment of the driver airbag during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

What to do

FCA will notify vehicle owners who can take their vehicle to a Jeep dealership whereby the vehicle will be repaired.

Defect

The clock spring on certain vehicles may ingest dust if the vehicle is subjected to extremely dusty environments.
