What the hazard is
An engine stall while in traffic or during certain maneuvers could result in loss of control and a serious accident.
What to do
Harley-Davidson will write to owners of affected vehicles. Owners are advised to contact their authorised Harley-Davidson Dealer to have the Body Control Module (BCM) replaced.
Defect
On vehicles fitted with these kits, the Body Control Module (BCM) has a case that may not be sealed sufficiently to prevent water intrusion. Water intrusion of the BCM may lead to an engine stall.
