What the hazard is
If the clutch does not disengage as intended, the rider may have difficulty slowing or stopping the motorcycle, which could cause a crash and potential injury or death of the rider and/or passenger.
What to do
A letter is being sent to affected owners. If the motorcycle is affected, it will require the clutch master cylinder to be rebuilt using a recall repair kit. The dealer, at no charge to the customer, will perform all work.
Defect
Some of these motorcycles may exhibit a condition in which the hydraulic clutch system may lose the ability to generate enough lift to disengage.
