What the hazard is

If the defect occurs, this can impact the bikes handling and operation which could pose an accident hazard to the rider or other road users.

What to do

The vehicle should not be ridden until inspected by an authorised KTM dealer. Contact an authorised KTM dealer to arrange a booking and inspection. Authorised dealers can be located at www.KTM.com.au.

Defect

Due to a change in production process, the threaded connection between the piston rod and screw cap may not be sufficiently tight. If the piston rod detaches from the screw cap, this will result in damage to the inside of the fork and it may seize.
