YAMAHA MW125F & MW125AF (2014–2017)

Published

What the hazard is

Engine stalling during riding may cause loss of control of the scooter, posing an accident risk to the rider.

What to do

Affected owners should contact their nearest Yamaha dealer to arrange an inspection and repair of the motorcycle. For help finding a Yamaha dealer consumers can go to http://www.yamaha-motor.com.au/dealers/all or call 1300 593 600. If you no longer own the model, please advise Yamaha Motor Australia on 1300 593 600.

Defect

The primary fixed sheave nut may loosen during riding due to inadequate tightening torque of the nut. If the nut loosens off, the primary sheave may contact the crank case cover, causing noise from the engine assembly and possible engine stalling.
