What the hazard is

If this occurs it may result in a loss of vehicle control, which would increase the risk of a crash and injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users. This would also be non-compliant with ADR35/06.

What to do

Owners will be contacted and advised to make an immediate appointment with their nearest PACCAR Australia DAF dealer to arrange for a technician to inspect and repair the vehicle. Defect

The prime mover air brake system may not comply with the Australian Design Rule (ADR). In the event of a total trailer air brake system air loss, the prime mover and trailer brakes will automatically apply, increasing the risk of losing control of the vehicle.
