Defect

Due to the shape of the gearshift select lever cable retainer clip, there is a possibility that the clip may impact the gearshift select lever bracket if excessive lateral force is applied when shifting to first gear. If a high frequency of impacts is experienced, the clip may dislodge or even break and the cable may detach rendering the gearshift slect lever inoperable.
