Defect
Under extreme exposure levels to engine oil, contained in the combustion blow-by gas, the material compound of the Intercooler Outlet Pipe Insulator may swell and, as a result, dislodge from the throttle body. After extended periods in this dislodged condition, the improper ratio of air/fuel mixture may cause excessive deposition of carbon particulate in the Diesel Particulate Filter, and in an extreme instance may cause the Diesel Particulate Filter to catch fire.
