What the hazard is
This may result in various false warnings signals to illuminate on the dashboard. In addition, the braking force could reduce and/or steering control could become unstable and pose a crash hazard to the driver and other road users.
What to do
Mitsubishi is notifying all affected customers by letter. Owners are advised to contact their authorised Mitsubishi dealership for inspection and rectification.
Defect
Insufficient water proofing of the sensor harness may allow moisture to penetrate the sensor resulting in abnormal output signal.
