What the hazard is

If the panel either partially or fully detaches from the vehicle there is an increased risk of injury or death to road users.

What to do

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Mercedes-Benz and are asked to make arrangements with their nearest authorised Mercedes-Benz dealership to have the work carried out as soon as possible. A full list of authorised dealerships can be found at https://www.mercedes-benz.com.au/passengercars/mercedes-benz-cars/dealer-locator.html Alternatively, consumers may use the Mercedes-Benz online booking service, by visiting www.mercedes-benz.com.au/servicebooking

Defect

The panel located between the windshield and the panoramic sunroof of your vehicle may not have been bonded correctly during a prior service repair. The bonding might deteriorate gradually over time and could lead the panel either partially or fully detaching from the vehicle.
