Recall check / REC-004970

LAND ROVER Discovery L462 (2020–2021)

Published

What the hazard is

If the driver is not made aware that the front passenger is not wearing their seat belt then in the event of an accident, there will be an increased risk of injury or death to the front passenger seat occupant.

What to do

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Jaguar Land Rover and can make arrangements with their nearest authorised Jaguar Land Rover to have the work carried out free of charge.

Defect

The Occupancy Detection Sensor System (ODS) may not have been installed in the front passenger seat. As a result, there will be no warning if the passenger seat belt is not buckled when the seat is occupied.
