What the hazard is

If the steering does not perform as expected there is an increased risk of an accident resulting in injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.

What to do

Owners of affected vehicles can contact Offroad Trucks Australia Head Office to book the vehicle in for rectification at an authorised repair centre. Parts and labour are at no cost if repairs are performed at an authorised service centre. For site-based vehicles, parts will be supplied at no cost, and repair instruction to be provided. Repair time is approximately 2 hours.

Defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the pins in the steering bevel gearbox can collapse resulting in increased steering wheel free play or potential loss of steering.
