JEEP Grand Cherokee (2011–2022)

Published

What the hazard is

A loss of power while driving could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users and bystanders.

What to do

Owners of affected vehicles are advised that parts are currently not available. FCA Australia will contact owners when parts are available. Once the follow-up notice is received, owners can contact any authorised Jeep dealership to arrange the repair. This repair is free of charge.

Defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the High-Pressure Fuel Pump could fail prematurely and introduce failed component debris into the fuel system. This could impair the fuel supply to the engine and result in a loss of power whilst driving.
