What the hazard is

A sudden loss of motive power whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to the vehicle occupants and/or other road users.

What to do

Owners of affected vehicles should contact an authorised Hyundai dealer to schedule an appointment to have the affected driveshaft replaced, free of charge.

Defect

Due to a manufacturing issue, the driveshaft may brake under load. If this occurs, it may lead to a sudden loss of motive power.
