What the hazard is

In the event of an accident, if the pedestrian detection pop-up hood feature does not operate as intended, it could increase the risk of injury or death to the pedestrian.

What to do

Owners of affected vehicles can contact their local Nissan Dealership and schedule an appointment to have their front bumper wiring harness replaced, free of charge.

Defect

Due to a manufacturing issue, the wiring harness behind the front bumper may have been routed incorrectly. As a result, the pedestrian detection sensor may not function as intended.
