What the hazard is
A loss of braking performance and vehicle control could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.
What to do
Owners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest authorised Daimler Truck dealership to arrange for inspection and the works to be carried out if necessary, free of charge.
Defect
Due to a manufacturing defect, the rear axle bearing bracket may have been assembled with missing mounting bolts and could become loose. This could affect both driving and braking performance which could lead to a loss of vehicle control.
