What the hazard is
A loss of vehicle control whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.
What to do
Owners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest authorised service centre to inspect and repair the Gen II Portal Axle, free of charge.
Defect
Due to a manufacturing defect, the front suspension swivel housing may not meet specifications. As a result, the connection between the axles and the steering arms could fail leading to a loss of vehicle control whilst driving.
