What the hazard is

An unintended movement of the vehicle may increase the risk of an accident causing serious injuries or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.

What to do

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Volvo group requesting to schedule an appointment to have the software updated, free of charge.

Defect

Due to a software issue, the vehicle may accelerate without the pedal being depressed. This may result in unintended vehicle movement.
