What the hazard is

If airbag inflator ruptures, compressed gas and metal fragments may be propelled through the airbag cushion towards the vehicle occupants causing serious injury or death.

What to do

Owners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest authorised RAM dealer to have the vehicle inspected and if necessary, replace left and right airbag inflator, free of charge.

Defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the left and right curtain airbag inflators may unexpectedly rupture.
