What the hazard is

A loss of vehicle control could increase the risk of an accident resulting in severe injury or death to the rider and/or other road users.

What to do

Before continued use of the vehicle, first check the Steering Damper mounting and make an immediate appointment at an authorised dealership for the recall rectification to be completed. Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by KTM asking them to schedule an appointment with their authorised dealer to have the rectification carried out, free of charge. KTM authorised dealers can be located using the dealer search at: https://www.ktm.com/en-au/find-a-dealer.html

Defect

Due to a manufacturing issue, the screw connection of the steering damper may come loose from the mounting adapter. This could result in a loss of vehicle control.
