What the hazard is

A reduction in braking performance could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.

What to do

Owners of affected vehicles are asked to contact their most convenient Mercedes-Benz dealer to have the work carried out, free of charge.

Defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the front axle brake hoses may become damaged over time. If this occurs it could lead to a brake fluid leak resulting in reduced braking performance.
